We are a friendly club, welcoming players of all abilities, including wheelchair users, although as we currently don’t have a coach we unfortunately aren’t able to help complete beginners We meet (almost) every Monday and Wednesday night in the Gym of Kings School (see the Find page for details and map).

There is no charge for your first introductory visit, then it’s just £5.00 per session. No need to book; just turn up and pay at the door. Oh, and don't forget – everyone using the hall should sign in please, in case we need to muster for any emergency, and we ask you to complete a registration form on your second visit so we have your contact details and any relevant medical information . There is no joining or membership fee.

On a typical evening some players will mix around for fun games of doubles, some may choose to play singles for some serious practice and there may also be two tables set aside for our teams competing against other clubs in the Winchester and District Table Tennis League. Please speak to one of the regulars if you are interested in playing for one of our teams next season.

Kings Table Tennis Club was formed in 2005 and its aim is to provide friendly and competitive table tennis and to promote the game of table tennis generally in accordance with the laws and policies of the bodies to which it is affiliated, namely the Hampshire Table Tennis Association (HTTA) through its affiliation to the Winchester & District Table Tennis Association and Table Tennis England.

Juniors

The Club is mainly suited to adults, due to the times of the sessions. We can welcome a limited number of juniors between the ages of 11 and 17 provided we have space and they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Unfortunately we are unable to provide supervision for children (defined legally by Safeguarding rules as anyone under 18) as we do not have the necessary safeguarding systems in place and cannot offer coaching.  Please send an enquiry via the Contact Us form if you would like to ask about bringing a junior to the club.

Equipment

Bats are available or you can use your own. Balls are provided. Please be sure to wear suitable footwear and a non-white shirt. The club has six tables available and it’s appreciated if everyone who can helps set up and/or put away the tables, nets and barriers.

If you would like any further information please send an enquiry using the “Contact Us” form and either the Club Chairman or Secretary will respond promptly.
