CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

The Club is closed until further notice – please stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again when we are able to re-open.

In the meantime, to help you stay in touch with all things table tennis, the Winchester League Facebook pages are being updated

with news, links to helpful tutorials, and YouTube highlights of sensational matches and crazy rallies.  Do take a look:

NOT BEEN BEFORE?

Welcome. Your first visit is free! Park at the far end of the car park and go downstairs to the sports hall in the wooden clad building. Please just turn up and tell someone it’s your first visit. You will soon be joining in and getting to know some of the regulars. We hope you will like the club and come back as often as you like. It is then just £3 per session - there is no joining fee or annual subscription. More details on the ABOUT page. We ask you to complete a club registration form on your second visit so we have your contact details and any relevant medical information.

CLUB NIGHTS EVERY MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY, 7.15-10.00PM

Mondays can be very busy, with a wide range of players enjoying fun doubles or serious practice. There will often be two League matches underway at one end of the hall, but still plenty of tables available for games of doubles and practice on the robot.

Wednesdays can be quieter, with more space for singles practice and no more than 2 tables taken up for a home match.

SESSION FEES ARE £3 PER NIGHT

But if you came on Monday, then the Wednesday session that week is just £2!

WINCHESTER AND DISTRICT TABLE TENNIS LEAGUE

We have five teams taking part in all 3 divisions and you can follow their progress at

www.winchester-table-tennis-league.org.uk/ where you can also find links to lots of news and information about table tennis.

PLEASE REMEMBER

Everyone should sign in on arrival and we must be off the site by 10.15pm. It really helps if you can bring £1 coins to make cashing up easier.

Don’t forget to bring a water bottle as you will need it! The School does not allow any refreshments in the hall, other than water, and there are no provisions to buy drinks outside the hall.

2018/19 CLUB AWARDS

Congratulations to two of our valued players who received the following awards at a presentation on 30 September:

Improved Player of the Year:  Luca Herbaut who made an impressive contribution to his team’s results in his first season playing for the Club in the Winchester and District League

Club Player of the Year:  Martin Dawson – who not only inspires everyone with his enthusiasm for playing the game but also gives up his time to help others with less experience.
